 Website or no website?

I want to tell you the story of John.

John Khumalo is a middle-aged man working for a boss earning just enough to put food on the table for him and his family of five. He how ever has one thing in life, which he loves almost as must as his family and that is sweets. Yes he is mad about sweets.

One day he calls his family together and says that he wants to start his own home business selling sweets and asked them to help him selling it while he is at work. He sets up a nice portable shop on the street corner and start stocking it with sweets.

Big is his disappointment when after a few months he realises that his sweets business is taking a lot of his and his families time with very little profit due to the fact that the visitors or customers he get are few and far between.

On advice from one of his colleagues he decided that he will carry on with his sweets business but he will change tactics. Instead of trying to sell it on the street corner he will invest a little and rent himself a little shop in a large shopping centre.

This shopping centre was planned and build with only one purpose and that is to get clients to visit it and with John inside this centre he now have plenty of customers and his little sweets business is blooming, so much so that he could resign his regular job and concentrate fully on his very own sweets business.

This brings us to the question:

Website or no Website?

If you want to run a Home Business on line you could go the no website way, which John tried with his street shop and get very little if any response. Remember, of the millions going on line for Internet based Business Opportunities, most go the route of sending e-mails to their circle of friends and using every advert site they can find to promote their product.

So what is the answer? Simple: get your own content rich website which you can compare to the large shopping centre. Your main job will then be to plan and build your website to attract targeted visitors so that you can sell your sweets or whatever products you favour from your Home Business on line.

So remember to have a chance of making real money on line:- Do not go the cheap route and hope that you will make money from your Internet based business. Invest a little money and build or buy yourself a website which are ranked well in the search engines, gets daily visitors and you are on your way to be financially independent.
